Unraveling the world's college degree clutter!

In today's age of information overload, we sometimes have a problem knowing something.

Now let's look at

the issue of university degree levels.

With the increasing connectivity between states, people and therefore also schools thanks to electrical engineering, a problem arose with

international recognition of degrees. With the help of the Bologna process, in which 47 countries participated, it closed

agreement on mutually comparable levels of degrees and therefore easier recognition of the qualifications of foreigners or nationals in

abroad.

The result was the division of higher education into three levels.

1st cycle (bachelor's)

2nd cycle (master's)

3rd cycle (doctoral)

This ensured the quality and level of individual degrees and EQUAL RECOGNITION of degree levels between states.

Credits.

Another comparative aid became the number of ECTS credits that must be achieved in order for the degree to be awarded to the student.

For the 1st cycle it is 180-240 credits,

for the 2nd cycle 90-120 credits,

for the 3rd cycle, the number of credits is not defined, as the principle of studying this highest level is slightly different from

the previous two.

Every education, school, degree in the EU is bound by the EQF code. We will look at this concept in the next article.
