What is a professional qualification?
Importanceprofessional qualificationsit is supported by the requirements of the world of work, where employers often do not require employees to have a degree of education (educational certificate or matriculation exam), but for a given job position it is enough if the employee masters some work activities for the given profession. Act No. 179/2006 Coll. contributes to greater flexibility, preparedness and employability of citizens on the labor market.
Act on Verification and Recognition of Further Education Results (No. 179/2006, Coll.) makes it possible to obtain a full-fledged proof of the achievement of a qualification based on the examination of a person's knowledge and skills, regardless of how they were acquired - whether through study or practice. The law will therefore allow adults to obtain a certificate of recognition of the so-calledprofessional qualificationsbased on the skills and knowledge demonstrated by the examination.
Definition according to NPI:
"Professional qualification means the ability to perform a certain work activity or several work activities, which as a whole enable a certain professional application (eg: preparation of cold cuisine, production of gingerbread, production of caps, assembly of photovoltaics, etc.). They are certain narrow "units of work", it can also be a single activity, which, however, is applicable on the labor market."
It is very important to understand the difference between a full professional qualification and a professional qualification. An explanation of this term can be found, for example, on the websiteMinistry of Education and Culture.

Different skill levels
Professional qualifications (retraining) can be at different levels of EQF difficulty. So EQF 3-7, where level 3 is apprenticeship level, 4 secondary school with matriculation, 6 university bachelor's level, 7 university master's level.
In addition, from the autumn of 2019, all those who have passed an exam within the framework of the National System of Qualifications and received a certificate of obtaining a professional qualification can apply for an addendum to the professional qualification (EUROPASS).

The summary of the installer's individual qualifications will give the applicant a full professional qualification Electrician at EQF level 3. This means. that it is therefore possible to obtain a teaching certificate.

A summary of the individual logistics qualifications will give the applicant a full professional qualification in Logistics at EQF level 4.It is possible to pass the matriculation exam.

What possibilities does it bring me?
For level 3 or 4 qualifications, when the applicant achieves a full professional qualification, thanks to Act 179/2006 Coll. and 561/2004 Coll. § 113c "A person with at least basic education has obtainedprofessional qualificationsconfirming in its summary the acquisition of all professional qualifications determined according to the National System of Qualifications for the proper performance of all work activities carried out within a certain profession, may alsowithout prior educationin secondary school or conservatory and without prior successful completion of exams in all subjects or other integral parts of the curriculum determined by the framework and school education program of the relevant field of education for all years of education, obtain a degree by successfully completing the final exam,matriculation exams” the graduate can proceed directly to the learning exam or the matriculation exam without the need to complete the previous 3 or 4 years of school.
